Based on environmental responsibilities and awareness Smurfit Kappa Roermond Papier only uses 100% recovered paper as the basic raw material for new paper products, also called recycled papers.

On an annual scale, Smurfit Kappa Roermond Papier processes over 565,000 tons of recovered paper. This translates into over 20% of the total quantity of recovered paper that is collected annually in the Netherlands.
