Smurfit Kappa Roermond Papier B.V. is part of the Smurfit Kappa Group, Europe's largest innovative company operating in the production, development and sale of containerboard, solid board, corrugated and solid-board packaging, graphic and speciality board.

Smurfit Kappa Roermond Papier B.V. specialises in the production and delivery of paper to the corrugated board industry based on the use of recovered paper. With 3 paper machines in full-time operation, our company can claim a total production capacity of more than 530 ktonnes per year. This is over 20% of the total production capacity within the Paper Division.

PM 1 dates back to 1973, was upgraded in 1993, and primarily produces testliner (for the outer and inner sides of the corrugated board) with an annual capacity of 225,000 tonnes.
PM 2 dates back to 1966, was upgraded in 1975, and produces chip (for the inner side and in-between layers of double-sided corrugated board) with an annual production capacity of 50,000 tonnes. 
PM 3 dates back to 1986, was upgraded in 1989, and primarily produces fluting (the paper for the corrugated part of the corrugated cardboard) with an annual capacity of 255,000 tonnes.
